Chacma Baboon

To kick off animal presentations in biology class, I wrote a song about the chacma baboon. Here's a clip from when I played it for the class.

Ali in the City

Ballad of San Francisco

Since coming to Stanford, I had talked about taking my guitar and walking the streets of San Francisco playing this song, a favorite of mine by Caedmon's Call. With time running down, we finally decided to do it. I took up the train up to the city one Saturday morning with my friends Eric and Grace, and we spent the day making a music video for the song. There's a line in the song about a carrot dangling, and I think the most amazing moment of the day was seeing Grace hand the cashier a $100 bill for a 17 cent carrot - that'll be $99.83 in change, please. Needless to say, we got a good reaction from the cashier. Here is a first draft of the music video, put together by Eric.
